Uptime

The share of time a website responds correctly, usually shown over the last 24 hours or 30 days.

A monitor requests the site on a schedule and records the status code. A success is a response in the 200 range; an error code, a timeout or no answer counts as down. Confirm with a second check before raising an alarm, since a single failure can be a brief blip.
