Next action

The single specific thing that happens next on a lead or task, with a person and a date attached.

"Send the case study to Priya by Thursday" is a next action; "follow up" is not. Giving every open lead a dated next action is the simplest way to stop leads going quiet. When one action is done, the next is set straight away.
